What is an Electronic Press Kit?

An Electronic Press Kit (EPK) is a professional digital portfolio that introduces your band or music project to journalists, venues, festivals, promoters, booking agents and labels. It’s essentially your all-in-one music resume, that showcases your sound, story, and achievements in a way which makes it easy for industry professionals to understand what you’re about.

Why should you have one?

In the music industry, first impressions are everything. A journalist or booking agent usually doesn’t have time to dig through your social media or to scroll through your links. An EPK puts all the important details into one professional package, making it easier for them to process relevant information about your band or artistry.

Types of EPKs

Bands and artists typically use three main types of EPKs:

1. PDF EPKs - A downloadable file you can attach or share directly.

2. Website EPKs - A dedicated page on your band’s website (or a standalone site).

3. Email EPKs - A tailored template that is directly embedded into the email you are sending out.

The type of EPK's I create as part of this service are intended for web use, but can also be exported as images or PDF's. The designs are created in Figma, and the websites are created in plain HTML with Tailwind CSS, since they are mostly one-page websites and this solution is the most straight-forward and affordable way, and can be quickly converted into an embeddable email template if needed.
